Morgan Cemetery and the Cannon's were moved there with the coming of the lake from a hill that James Cannon owned As was Rbt F's wife I am told that she was visiting in the Fairview area when she died and the river was at flood stage so she was buried in the Cannon plot behind Fairview Meth Church on a hill part of which is now covered by water. I think this can be seen from the road that runs from 183 to Seneca, is it 186? Some unknown fieldstone markers I'm told were left. I remember when this was done and my Uncle Stanley Morgan, a great grand son of Robert F, was called on to help or view removals. They had two children already buried in the Rbt F. Morgan and "Bob" wanted to be buried with them instead of being carried to beside his wife, He was CSA One of the children moved was a son of Jacob Cannon and Rachel Curtis. There are a good many fieldstone markers in the back of this lot besides 2 or more near Robert F and Cannons. Also buried here is Jonathan King for whom Kings Grove Church was named for. I have his dates in my files, his wife was a Whitmire and buried on Oconee County in a Whitmire cemetery now under water. There at present is a cedar tree ad the head of his grave. The Corn Mill that was once near was once Morgan Mill then Kings Mill and last Jones mill. Whether Morgan built the mill, I do not know. Lawyer Herbert Morgan a descendant of Seneca can verify this.
