Latitude N 34 58.631 x Longitude W 82 51.310 CHURCH/CEMETERY HISTORY: ------------------------ From: karen mckenzie Sent: Thursday, May 16, 2013 7:58 AM I am researching my ancestor Burt Moore, a Revolution soldier (W2155),who lived at the fork of Mill Cr on Eastatoe Creek from 1783-1836 when he died. I believe the Nimmons cemetery is the property which he had once owned until he died Apr 23,1836. His 2nd wife Mary Glenn/Glynn sold it in 1850 to Abraham Stewart, and Abe died 8 years later. Abe is buried at the Abe Stewart cemetery, but I don't think that was Burt's property location according to Clayton's map of Pendleton district, and other maps accumulated by family records. My DNA matched cousin is Janice Moore-Cronan. Apparently she has planned to "clean up" the Nimmons cemetery. The people buried there were persecuted by Bloody Bill Cunningham, and I can see the graves or tombs were desecrated some time ago. I would like to study it, and be on the team to work on it, but I live in Colorado.
