There is no information given other than the location. Well, I now know why. I went to Norris to find the cemetery and found that there is located across from the First Baptist Church in Norris a wooded plot which contains some woodlands, some kudzu lands (!!!), a chimney from what was most likely the home place of the Bowens; but no visible signs from the road of a cemetery. The cemetery is surely located on that plot of land somewhere and no one has recorded the inscriptions of the stones. What a pity!! Is there anyone out there in the Pickens Genealogical Society who is willing to go with me to search for this graveyard and record the inscriptions? We would, of course, have to wait until frost has killed the greenery. But we must record what is there before it is destroyed by someone. I will go with anyone from your genealogical society to find the cemetery. I am too elderly to go alone but am capable of hiking through such a plot of land as I found there today. Please advise if you are interested in accompanying me to find the cemetery. We walked the woods for about 45 minutes and saw no signs of any graves. We talked to a younger woman living in the house next to the woods but she said she didn't know anything about the cemetery, but she hadn't been living there very long. We talked to a gentleman across the street, in the big white house, and near the church who told us there were graves near the house at one time but they may have been destroyed. Later Paul and I ate lunch just north of Norris and talked to a guy, who I think was a fire fighter, who said he kind of remembered graves also but there had been some grading done near the house and close to the woods. I remember the old chimney your talking about in the field behind the woods and house but like you said the Kudzu was to big to do a search. If there are still any markers, I don't think there in the woods but maybe in the field.
